Every few weeks the scenery changes. The mission does not. This month we are working from Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Mt. Shasta, and the Northern California coast while building software, training members, supporting clients, and proving that AI is at its best when it amplifies people rather than replaces them.

As I write this tonight, I am sitting beside a campfire in Yosemite National Park. Over the next few weeks we will move through Lake Tahoe, Mt. Shasta, and eventually make our way to the Northern California coast. The view keeps changing, but the question I keep thinking about is the same: what does AI actually make possible for real people?
For us, AI has not replaced people. It has helped bring more of the process back in-house.
For years, Russell had ideas for software, frameworks, and systems that were difficult to translate through developers who did not think the way he did. There was always a gap between the vision and the finished product. AI changed that. It gave him a way to build closer to the speed of his ideas.
For me, the change has been confidence. I have tackled DNS records, schema implementation, website changes, entity issues, indexing problems, and technical troubleshooting I would not have touched a few years ago.
Recently, I used a tribunal approach with multiple AI systems to prepare a Google Business Profile appeal for a business that had been suspended since February and denied in March. I did not trust one AI. I challenged one with another. ChatGPT. Claude. Gemini. Sometimes other agents. Each one pushed back on assumptions and exposed weak spots.
The result? The appeal was approved in May and the client is back online with their Google Business Profile reinstated.
AI did not win the appeal. AI did not clean up the entity. AI did not make the final decisions. People did. But AI helped us move faster, think deeper, and operate with more confidence.
That is Team Human to me.

GBP Reinstated After a 3-Month Suspension
Suspended in February. Appeal denied in March. Reinstated in May.
This was not push-button AI. It was investigation, cleanup, documentation, and a tribunal process that used multiple AI systems to test assumptions before we made the final call. The client is now back online with their Google Business Profile restored.

Why Team Human Exists
Exceptional people were trying to do everything. That was never going to scale.
|
|
We all had skills we were exceptional at. But those gifts were getting buried because everyone was wearing too many hats. Russell needed room for systems and architecture. Daryl needed room for product and search intelligence. I needed room for strategy, teaching, client problem-solving, and community. Jordan needed to bring order to the moving pieces. The team needed clear lanes.
So we made a decision. Not to become one entity. Not to erase what each person had built. But to come together under one purpose.
Team Human is that purpose. It allows each person to amplify what they do best so we can give more to our students, better service to our clients, and healthier versions of ourselves to our families.
